Ugly Gun Sunday

Now, I would pay to see how the 'smith managed to forge up the blade to barrel. Perhaps Firehand would know. But even in a blackpowder pistol era, I'd still think one would be better off just going with a regular pistol in one hand and a Bowie knife in the other.

If I could get one of these in a .357 snubbie, I'd carry it :)

I have no idea how you can put this in the category of "ugly gun".

West,

It's a bit of a stretch; I'd classify this more as "odd".

No doubt, there's a number of blade enthusiasts out there that would enjoy the crossover. As to Final Fantasy, I'm way behind the curve. Wouldn't mind checking it out, but far too much demands on time to try.....

Lest it be thought that this quaint idea is some relic of the black powder era, note that the Ka-Bar knife company makes a bayonet that mounts on the accessory rail of the Glock and other contemprary autopistols:

Saw one on a piece in Cabela's the other day and had to suppress a giggle.

The blade looks to be a sleeve fitted over a turned down barrel.

I'd absolutely LOVE one of those! In total agreement with West though.

It would be even more awesome (or double-crazy) if it was a switchblade!

I'd say either George is right, or the whole thing- barrel & blade- was forged/machined and then bored
