Even More Kabul

It’s better to live higher; less air pollution, and less…stuff washing down hill in the rain.

Just because your house is made out of earth doesn’t mean you can’t have a sweet door.

Welcome to the mall. No parking in the trash piles.

Firewood vendor; part of air pollution problem in Kabul. Lots of people still cook and heat this way.

What sort of camera are you using? Is it really that hazy there, or is it the camera's fault?

Stay safe.

Bob,

80% of the haze is the layers of dust on the MRAP window, 10% is the thickness of the window, and 10% is smog (it was a nice day, or the percentages would have been different).

I'm using an Olympus Stylus 770SW, which is damn near drop-proof; purchased for me by my wife in 2007 after I destroyed 3 cameras in under 12 months.
