80% of the haze is the layers of dust on the MRAP window, 10% is the thickness of the window, and 10% is smog (it was a nice day, or the percentages would have been different).
I'm using an Olympus Stylus 770SW, which is damn near drop-proof; purchased for me by my wife in 2007 after I destroyed 3 cameras in under 12 months.

What sort of camera are you using? Is it really that hazy there, or is it the camera's fault?
