I think you could make that lower one into a small tool for cleaning the corners of your bathtub.

Rode hard and put away wet...Doesn't Tam or Roberta have some of those? A big old plow-handle Iver-Johnson?
If either one does, I'm sure they haven't been mistreated like these.
