For all the public rending of clothes on his passing, I still believe Edward M. Kennedy truly was:
Corrupt, vain, boorish, alcoholic, amoral, crapulent, despotic, sexually predatory, cowardly and last of all, an unrepentant party to manslaughter.
Simply dying doesn't erase a lifetime's worth of self-indulgence on a scale rarely found outside the worst periods of the Roman Empire.
Good riddance.
